Our Services

The vets and staff at Gillitts Veterinary Hospital are dedicated to providing a friendly, efficient and professional service to you and your pets.
The services we provide include:

Clinic Days

We run special clinic days to give our clients a special rate on spays and vaccinations.
Please book in advance. Our clinic days are:
Wednesday for Sterilisations &
Thursdays for Vaccinations.

Preventative Health Care

Our clinic promotes preventative medicine and recommends annual health checks and vaccinations, and regular deworming and flea control.

Our digital x-ray processor provides us with excellent image qualities.

Last year we acquired a brand new dental scaler and polisher. With this we are able to offer dental checks and if necessary cleaning and polishing of the teeth under anaesthetic.

We are equipped with a modern ultrasound unit allowing us to see fine, detailed and good quality images.

We stock a wide range of medication. If you need a repeat prescription, please give us 24 hours notice to get your treatments ready.

We will often scope patients showing symptoms of oesophageal and stomach disorders.

General Surgery

Sterilization and a wide range of soft tissue surgery is performed in our well equipped theater.

Full Hospital Facilities

We have separate sections in our ward for dogs and cats. Our kennels have underfloor heating to keep your animals warm and comfortable while they recover.

Weight Clinic

Our nurse, Chantal, runs the weight clinic and has many overweight dogs and cats that have now reached target weight. The pets are much happier and healthier pets.
This is a free service that we offer, and is run everyday from 1pm to 3pm.

In House Laboratory

We have a full in house lab that enables us to get quick and accurate blood results at a price competitive to the external laboratories.

Gillitts Vet has a small parlour that offers general baths, medicated baths, brushing, nail cutting as well as clipping.

Caring Handlers

Our Vet assistants are well instructed in gentle and careful handling of your pet, so you can be assured that your pet is in safe hands.
